Painted from existing photo

In this painting I was studying how the hard geometric shapes of the cabin contrast with the softer organic shapes of the trees and bushes. I was not as interested in detail here as I was how light interacted with different surfaces to blur and reveal content, and enjoyed letting some areas become abstract.
